The Ore of the Alps UNESCO Global Geopark is currently the third UNESCO Global Geopark in Austria, alongside the Styrian Eisenwurzen UNESCO Global Geopark and the Karawanken UNESCO Global Geopark. The Carnic Alps are listed as a national Geopark. The cooperation partners of the Ore of the Alps UNESCO Global Geopark are the Inselsberg - Drei Gleichen UNESCO Global Geopark in Thuringia and the Porphyry Land National Geopark in Saxony, Germany. A strategic partnership exists with the "Chiemgau Ice Age Landscape", in particular with the Natural History and Mammoth Museum in Siegsdorf / Bavaria and the University of Salzburg. All partners of the Ore of the Alps UNESCO Global Geopark are united by a cordial cooperation with the desire for long-term, good collaboration.
