Hochkönig excursion
July 27 - July 28
IMPORTANT: Participation only possible with registration via Gert Furtmüller!
The following dates are reserved for the Hochkönig excursion:
- 1st date: Sunday, 27 and Monday, 28 July
- 2nd date: Sunday, 3 and Monday, 4 August
The 2nd date serves as an alternative date to the 1st date in case of bad weather.
Meeting point: 03:00 h Arthurhaus Mühlbach - Please register for carpooling; 7 places are reserved at the Matrashaus
Approximate tour planning:
On the first day we will ascend quickly via the Mitterfeldalm to the Schoberschartl and then snoop around on the limestone plateau around the "glacier base". Please take enough water with you. Crampons are necessary.
Arrival Matrashaus on the first day around 6 pm.
On the second day we go to the Teufelslöchern and walk along the steep slope of the plateau towards Hochseiler and then back north of the glacier across the plateau towards Bratschenkopf and from there to the Mitterfeldalm. Arrival at Arthurhaus around 7 pm.
