Show us the beauty of the Ore of the Alps Geopark

Photo- & Film competition „Geopark Views“

Whether you are a resident of the region, a holidaymaker or a day visitor - this competition is aimed at everyone who loves the region around Hüttau, Mühlbach am Hochkönig, St. Veit im Pongau and Bischofshofen.

Show us your unique view of the region, the ore of the Alps UNESCO Global Geopark.

The winning entries will then be presented via facilities, print media, social media channels and the website of the Geopark and the four tourism communities of Bischofshofen, Mühlbach am Hochkönig, St. Veit im Pongau and Hüttau.

What do we want?

  • Digital images and short videos (max. 1 minute) from the Geopark region.
  • The submitted images should depict nature as authentically as possible. Strong digital image manipulation and AI-generated content are not permitted.
  • File format: JPG (3840 pixels on the longer side), video format MP4 (recommended Full HD)
  • For large data volumes of 15 MB or more, the submission is made via Wetransfer (https://wetransfer.com).
  • Closing date: 31 October 2026

  • The entries will be reviewed and evaluated by a jury of experts. The award ceremony will take place during the general assembly of the Ore of the Alps Association on 19 November 2026.

Conditions of participation:

  • One entry per person possible (1 video or 1 photo)
  • For minorsThe consent of a person with parental authority is required for female participants.
  • Contact details (name) and a brief description of the picture, including the location where it was taken, must be provided with the entry.

What is there to win:

2x 2 nights at the „Sonnhof by Vitus Winkler“ in St. Veit im Pongau, the Austrian chef of the year 2026

  • The Erz der Alpen Association reserves the right to use the submitted images and videos without restriction.
  • Only entries to which the participants own all rights may be submitted.
  • The participants and participants ensure with their submission that no rights of third parties (in particular copyrights, personal rights or trademark rights) are infringed by the submitted content.
  • The persons depicted must agree to the publication.
  • Illegal, discriminatory or offensive content is excluded from the competition.
  • The personal data collected as part of the competition, which goes beyond the name of the participant, will be used exclusively for the organisation of the competition.
