Movemont
The Moving Mountains
MOVEMONT is an ESS (Earth System Sciences) research and education project funded by the Austrian Academy of Sciences, which focuses on the dynamic processes of our mountain landscapes.
Together with the Austrian UNESCO Global Geoparks (Erz der Alpen, Steirische Eisenwurzen and the Karawanken Mountains), Paris Lodron University of Salzburg, Karl-Franzens University of Graz and international partners The project is developing innovative approaches to make these geological processes understandable and bring them to life.
MOVEMONT brings together research, education and regional cooperation with the aim of making geoscientific topics accessible to a variety of audiences and promoting the sustainable management of our environments.
