- 10.15 am Irene Fuß (Salzburg): “Home on the Border”. Ingeborg Bachmann’s youth in an Austrian town
- 11.30 am Silvana Cimenti (Graz); “nipped in the bud right from the very start”: strategies of escape in Thomas Bernhard’s *Die Ursache. Eine Andeutung* and Barbara Frischmuth’s *Die Klosterschule*
Lunch break
- 3.00 pm Thomas Bernhard, *Der Keller*: Workshop – reading by Christoph Miere and open discussion with the audience
